There may be times when you want to know about the performance of your paid search keywords, or there may be another variable parameter that you'd like to learn more about. This information is not reflected in your user journeys, but it is possible to collect this and see an aggregate count of how often these parameters are used for visitors who convert on your website.
If your UTM or other tracking parameter setup includes passing keyword data, you can feed this information into LeadsRx.
Adding Keyword/Parameter tracking
- Navigate to your company dropdown at the top of any page and select ACCOUNT.
- Locate the section called Keyword/parameter tracking.
- Add the parameter that defines your keyword (e.g. utm_term) or other parameter you wish to track.
- Click SAVE at the bottom of the page when you are finished.
Once set up, you will start to see aggregate information about how often keywords are involved in the paths of converters.
Viewing Aggregate Keyword or Parameter counts
- Within the CONVERSION ATTRIBUTION section in your navigation bar, select Keywords & Parameters.
- This report can be set to whatever date range you wish.
- If you have more than one parameter within your Account section, you can select the one you wish to see from the filter at the top.
- The report shows you how often specific keywords were involved in the paths of visitors who converted on your website.
Note: This is not a count of conversions. Multiple keywords could be part of the same path resulting in an eventual conversion. This information is shown in aggregate and cannot be tracked back within LeadsRx to specific customer journeys.
You may also wonder if LeadsRx can track keywords used to search in Google or other search engines. For organic search, the answer is no. Google and other search engines do not provide any keyword information about organic searches.
